THE PRINCIPLE OF FIBER TECHNOLOGY

 

 

Fiber lasers use special fiber optics as the active medium with thicknesses of only a few μm producing high performance at optimal beam quality. The mirrors of the resonator are used as Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs). Those define the wavelength of a fiber laser being 1080 μm. Emitted light from focused highpower laser diodes creates the pump power which is coupled into the resonator by pump couplers and results in the active fiber excitation.

The optically and electronically modular designed pumping units are easy to maintain. Opposite to common concepts the "all-in-glass" technology reduces the risk of contamination of the optics and thus a reduction of the beam quality.

IPG Laser Source

 

 

The ytterbium laser light is created inside the laser unit. Excitation is performed by laser diodes enabling high efficiency with low costs. Laser light created at the resonator is transferred to the cutting head by a fiberoptic cable without loss of power or quality. This provides a high beam quality appropriate for metal cutting.

SERVO DRIVE TECHNOLOGY

 

 

FiberLaser has 4 servo motors for all axial movements.

These are the latest technology single cable servomotors.Power and process data are transmitted in onestandard motor cable, significantly reducing costs.This technology also gives more accurate positioning and more geometrically accurate parts.

In addition, servo driven system of FiberLaser has automatic lubrication system which cause you to save time.
